Tamala Chirwa is an International Coach Federation (ICF) Credentialed Associate Certified Coach (ACC) specializing in Executive, Leadership, Group and Team Coaching. She is a Corporate Trainer, Leadership Consultant and Facilitator and a Vital Voices Leadership Fellow. Her credentials include an MBA from MANCOSA, ACCA Diploma in Financial Management and Post-Graduate Management Certificate from University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business. During her corporate career, she held various positions with leading organizations in the banking, international development, private and leadership development sectors in Malawi, South Africa and Kenya. She excelled at delivering high-value solutions in the finance, operations, human resources and coaching functions. She has robust experience in designing and delivering leadership development programs for corporates and coach-training programs for aspiring professional coaches.
Tamala is the Founder of Women’s Leadership Footprint, a Coaching Practice that supports women in leadership through coaching so that they can be more effective and impactful in their roles. She works with women leaders who purposefully seek to transform their lives, careers and leadership journeys for their own benefit and the people they lead. Her resolve is to adequately support women leaders who are rising and have ascended to higher positions through the coaching approach to sustain the successes they register in their career trajectories to ultimately build powerful legacies in the spaces they occupy. She also heads Professional Coaching Institute, a coach-training company that develops and supports a credible community of professional coaches through high-impact coach-training programs and supports decision makers to embed coaching and mentoring in their corporate cultures. Her role also entails working with corporate clients through designing and delivering leadership development programs (hybrid of in-person leadership training and one-on-one and group/team coaching sessions). She remains steadfast in her resolve to meaningfully contribute towards advancing the coaching and mentoring agenda in Malawi and Africa. Her coaching and facilitation style entails guiding her clients through life-changing personal development expeditions in the quest to succeed in their careers and leadership.
Tamala is engaged in other roles such as, Malawi Coach/Cohort Facilitator for Breakfast Club Africa – A Pan African organization that is exclusive to and supports Heads of Organizations to become better leaders through knowledge acquisition/learning, peer-based problem solving and one-on-one leadership coaching to achieve better results for themselves, their employees and organizations; Malawi Coach for Women in News Programme – A WAN-IFRA leadership development program that supports women in media in Africa/MENA to aspire for higher leadership positions in media organizations.
